ABOUT US
Zanzibar is archipelago of two main islands, Unguja and Pemba with about 50 smaller Islets, of which area of these two main Islands is about 2,654 km², consisting of five regions and eleven districts with a total population 1.6 million.
Spice Tech Foundation is an Organization established in Zanzibar by the Community members in 2022 with the intent of achieving several SDGs through the provision of soft and digital skills with mentoring and coaching to allow the community members (who include the marginalized, women, youth in rural and urban areas) to have wealth creation, economic development and better social well-being in various projects/programmes in the community.
The Organization will be an organ for different projects/programmes and will coordinate and inspire collaboration among stakeholders for the benefit of all citizens of Zanzibar, the region and world community, catalyzing on any existing projects/programmes undertaken by Development Institutions and Agencies to sublimate them for the benefit of the communities
The Spice Tech Foundation initially aims to start its operations within the Zanzibar community with the objective of poverty alleviation and social well-being of her citizens through the delivery of soft skills, digital skills, financial literacy, mentoring and coaching, including fiduciary services.

MISSION
The Organization exists to develop, transform and support university graduates and those with innovative impactful ideas through world class incubation, skills development and encourage innovation and collaboration.
Create and catalyze a most creative, inspiring innovative ecosystem using various tools, like office spaces, technology training programs, meeting rooms for events and advocate for enabling entrepreneurial and innovative policies.
VISION
The Organization has a vision of being the leading innovation and technological hub in the region that empowers young graduates to develop world-class innovative solutions to address social and economic challenges in Tanzania and the region.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Organization are- Mentor youths and graduates with innovative technological skills to empower them to transform ideas into marketable products or services that solve social and economic challenges in the communities.
- Increase young graduates abilities to innovate by nurturing entrepreneurial talent and supporting individual ideas.
- Provide training on specialized IT, co-working space and emerging technologies development environment
- Develop environment that foster technological innovation and entrepreneurship for Tanzanian youths.
- Building strong relationships with academic institutions for accessing graduates interested in startup and innovations.
- Provide industrial practical experiences through internship programs in collaboration with ICT service providers and business communities to make graduates employable or job creators using digital tools.
- Help and collaborate with Government and other non-Government Organizations having similar aims in the pursuit of the foregoing aims and objectives within and outside Zanzibar
- Source and receive investments, contributions and donation, gifts, grants, loans, and/or endeavour with all means to raise funds within and outside the country.
